Growing up in Sherman Oaks and Beverly Hills, Lisa always loved to draw and paint. Her mother taught her how to draw faces at a young age on the dining room table. She earned her Associate Degree in Fashion Design, studied Graphic Design at UCLA extension, and studied watercolor at Brentwood Art Center. She loved learning to draw organic shapes and the female figure and as a Scorpio, a deep water sign, watercolor spoke to her as an outlet to her emotional realms. As Lisa says, “For me, drawing and painting are a form of meditation. I love painting portraits and botanicals. Botanicals are soothing to the spirit and I love getting inspired by the flowers of my journey through life. “ She also enjoys Art Nouveau after spending a summer in Paris and Chinoiserie.  She loves bringing the serenity of the flowers in nature into the home.

 

 Lisa did a six month collection of mermaid paintings for the Maritime Museum of Santa Barbara to go with their mermaid photography exhibit. She has been living in Santa Barbara since 2020 and has spent a lot of time in Maui as well. She loves spending time in nature getting inspired for her paintings. She has a collection of Hawaiian native flowers in a gallery in Makawao, Maui called The Portal. She spent the last year partly back in Los Angeles and was in 10 Women Gallery in Santa Monica.

She loves going to the beach with her Havanese dog , Maggie, dancing, yoga, mermaid swimming and spending time with her 14 year old daughter Zooey Mykayla, and painting. She finds flowers to be her favorite to paint as they are symbolic to spiritual growth and love and peace.
